Thelma is an indie film starring Maja Salvadorthat portrays the role of a runner directed by Paul Soriano.

“Thelma” is the first Time Horizon’s full-length film production. It’s about a simple young girl, Thelma, located in a province, whose family is under difficult challenges when she learns about her uncanny gift of speed. Her talent will be the open door for her family’s situation and change her own life.In return of the given opportunity, she will have to run and overcome all the hindrances – personal hindrances from her pasts and against her own self-doubts/

Other talented casts: Techie Agbayani, John Arcilla, Eliza Pineda, and Jason Abalos.

“Thelma” production is set from the hills, and the beautiful scenery of the Ilocos region. A special appearance is given a chance by the legendary Filipina athlete Elma Muros (15 Gold Medals in SEA Games) who coached Maja Salvador into a runner Thelma.

“Many people run away from their problems, she ran to fix them.” Thelma is absolutely inspired by the real stories of Filipino athletes who were discovered in the province, and represent the Philippines in the entire world.

Under the direction of Paul Soriano and distributed by Star Cinema, the film is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on September 7, 2011.
